Honeybadger Deployment Notifications

Want to notify Honeybadger when your application deploys successfully?

There are several options for sending notifications to Honeybadger when your application finishes deploying. For more details, see the Honeybadger documentation.

Ruby gem
You can also notify Honeybadger using the Ruby gem.
bundle exec honeybadger deploy --environment $RAILS_ENV --revision $REVISION
If you get a message in your logs that says:
No value provided for required options '--repository'
You can add the full URL for the repository as well.
bundle exec honeybadger deploy --environment $RAILS_ENV --revision $REVISION --repository "https://github.com/{repository path}"


Curl
Curl also works and is slightly faster as it doesn't have to load Ruby if you'd prefer to use it: 
curl https://api.honeybadger.io/v1/deploys -H "X-API-Key: $HONEYBADGER_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json" -d "{\"deploy\": {\"environment\": \"$RAILS_ENV\", \"local_username\": \"deploy\", \"revision\": \"$REVISION\"}}"
